Applications Specialist TrakCare Lab

We are searching for the specialist with experience in Healthcare IT/Medical laboratory workflow and healthcare application implementation. The Application Specialist will contribute to the successful development and timely deployment of robust InterSystems healthcare application products by providing application knowledge and product specialist services in the functional areas of product implementation, requirements scoping, design documents and change request testing. The Application Specialist acts as an expert product resource for customers, as well as communicating and prioritizing customer requirements to other areas of the business.

The Application Specialist will work with the customer to implement the products in such as way as to address the customer business requirements using as much as possible the functions and tools already available within the product. The Application Specialist is also responsible for providing information and guidance in the implementation of new software developments.

The role has Business Analyst aspects which include ensuring that the applications work to the customer’s satisfaction and are implemented according to the design intentions. The Business Analyst function therefore has primary focus on the operations of the application in the context of the Customer environment.

The Application Specialist will use defined testing methodology and problem solving ability to thoroughly validate, diagnose and document software design problems and new product developments. It is expected that the Application Specialist will recommend solutions that are both creative and economical.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with customers in order to establish and define the work processes and requirements that are required to be addressed by the TrakCare application.
  • Implement the TrakCare application in a manner that will suit the business requirements of the customer.
  • Conduct training demonstrations and workshops as required.
  • Implement and control change management requests from client.
  • Proven ability to manage projects to time constraints
  • Deliver successful application implementation phases
  • Work with customers to identify potential changes within the parameters of the product where at all possible
  • Utilise experience gained on other sites in order to ensure seamless implementation process.
  • Produce reports and knowledge of reporting requirements and legislative controls.
  • Communicate effectively with clinicians, business and technical teams.

Requirements:

  • TrakCare product line is new for InterSystems in Russia, so the Application Specialist has to be a self-starter, highly self-motivated and able to professionally grow inline with the growth of the business.
  • Completed higher education from leading Russian Technical or Medical University
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Working experience in Russian healhcare IT for at least 5 years.
  • Knowledge of the Russian healthcare workflows, especially lab.
  • Knowledge of clinical and lab healthcare products.
  • Strong demonstration and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of and experience with the implementation and management of the operational and managerial application of Laboratory, Hospital Information, Patient Administration, and Clinical Information Systems.
  • Understanding of the importance of Health Informatics standards, reporting requirements and legislative controls should be appreciated.
  • A solid grasp of computer systems, software development methodology and computer networking is highly desirable.
  • An ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and within tight time constraints.
  • Desirable:
    • Knowledge of Quality Systems Regulations as they pertain to software is desirable
    • Experience of working with the commercial aspects of healthcare would be advantageous.
    • MedTrak or LabTrak knowledge is highly appreciated.
